PHASE II SCÉNIC. Five individual seats, a totally individual family car.

When Renault created the Scénic, we started with a blank sheet of paper – and proceeded to fill it with new ideas. Nothing was ruled out, except humdrum thinking. The result was a family car that took innovation and versatility to new levels.

Phase II Scénic takes that thinking even further.
It has its own unique, individual look. Not like a wagon or a bus, but refreshingly different and eye-catching. The performance of its 2.0 litre 16-valve engine will also surprise you. (That’s our F1 heritage at work.) You’ll be just as surprised by the exceptional fuel efficiency – the Scénic is one of the most fuel-efficient cars in its class.

But where surprise will turn to amazement is when you take a seat. Because that’s what everyone gets – their own individual seat.

The Scénic is a genuine five seater, and every one of its five seats is separate and fully adjustable. Not only do the three rear passenger seats slide back and forward, they can also recline to 35 degrees. So wherever you sit, you can find your own optimum position. That’s serious comfort.

What’s also serious is the level of safety – essential for any family car. The front and rear of the Scénic is made from special, highly elastic steel that acts like an energy sponge, compressing and soaking up the force of an impact. It’s just one of the reasons why Euro NCAP awarded the Scénic it’s maximum 5-star safety rating.
