Renault Group introduces it's new brand baseline

My name is Michael and I am the Director of Ambulance Service Australia. Few months ago, we had the chance to trial the Renault Master and see how the vehicle would perform in particular as an emergency ambulance in motorsport venues.

Within 6 months of getting the first van, we were so impressed with the whole package (handling, economy, stability etc) that we purchased a second vehicle. The decision to change platforms in the ambulance industry can be expensive as it usually means that internal fit outs are not interchangeable, however with the reliability and economy in the new Master, it became a worthwhile change.

We have recently added a new Low Wheel Base high roof to the fleet and came up with an innovative design which allows for most paramedics to be able to stand upright in the back rather than having to stoop. We are very satisfied with our Master and are hoping to further grow our fleet.

Michael.

2009 F1 GP – RED BULL TEAM TRIUMPH IN ABU DHABI

The Red Bull F1 Team powered by Renault dominated the final round of this year’s F1 Season at the stunning Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. It was Sebastian Vettel who drove a great race finishing on the top step of the podium with Mark Webber following him home in second. It was the team’s fourth one-two finish in what has been a stand out season for the Renault powered team.

Sebastian Vettel, the race winner, summed up the mood at Red Bull racing saying it was a shame that the season has ended, as he feels the team is on a roll! “It’s just perfect to finish the season in this way on such a high.”

After coming second, Mark Webber congratulated the team on what they had achieved and thanked them for their patience. Webber also thanked Renault for giving Red Bull a fantastic engine and felt that overall Red Bull can be incredibly proud of what they have done…

Christian Horner, Team Principal: “That was the most brilliant way to finish the season, by gaining our fourth one-two finish and our sixth win. Both our drivers were supreme today…”

Formula 1 now enters the off season where much work will begin for many teams looking to develop an edge that will see them jump start their 2010 season next March in Bahrain before moving onto Australia.

In next months E-Newsletter, we will bring you a review of the season and an update on Renault’s involvement in Grand Prix racing next year.

Prawn Salad with a Mango Chutney Dressing

Serves 6-8 as an entrée
This dish is great to take on a picnic.

300 g snow peas, topped and tailed (or 18 asparagus spears)
About 25 cherry tomatoes, halved
24 medium-sized, cooked king prawns, shelled and deveined
10 macadamia nuts cut into small pieces
1 mango, peeled sliced thinly
1 egg yolk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 cup mango chutney
1 tablespoon sour cream
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons finely cut chives

  1. Place snow peas in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Let stand for one minute. Drain and refresh in cold water, then drain again. Place snow peas in a salad bowl. Add cherry tomato halves, prawns, macadamia nuts and mango slices.
  2. In a second bowl place egg yolk, mustard and vinegar and whisk for 20 seconds.  While continuing to whisk, add the oil gradually to form a thick sauce.  Mix in sesame oil, chutney and sour cream. Season to taste with salt and pepper.  Gently toss this dressing with the salad ingredients, sprinkle with chives and transfer to a container with a lid for easy transportation.

Bon appétit!
