Renault Australia is excited to announce a new partnership with Kangan Institute’s Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Victoria to provide national end-to-end apprentice technician training programs for the growing Renault dealer network.
“The commencement of the formal arrangement between Renault’s Academy and ACE represents a significant step forward in the long-term growth strategy for our business,” says Justin Hocevar, Managing Director of Renault Australia.
Current apprentices will come from the independent Renault dealer network. ACE will then recruit and train new apprentices to meet Renault dealer needs. Apprentices will be trained at the purpose built, state-of-the-art Renault Academy premises in Mulgrave, Victoria.
Between 2016 and 2020 the program will train more than 219 apprentices.
Minister for Industry, Lily D’Ambrosio, commented on the announcement saying, “This is great news for young aspiring mechanics who want to receive specialist training in a state of the art facility.
“The Kangan Institute has a well-deserved reputation for excellence in automotive training and their partnership with Renault is an exciting one that will open up new training opportunities for young Victorians.”
Premier Daniel Andrews also commented on the exciting partnership, “The Victorian Government is working hard every day to create new jobs for Victorians so we are delighted with this vote of confidence from Renault.”
We anticipate expanding our relationship with ACE over the coming years.
