ZOE and the on-board Chameleon Charger © ensure you make the most of the power available and with power of 22kW, you can have a full recharge in under 3hours.

Kangoo can charge up with 7kW delivering, 33km of range during a lunch hour or a full recharge overnight.

How far can electric vehicles go on one charge?

Every vehicle provides a NEDC range – this is standard test used for comparing the fuel consumption of different models and manufacturers under the same ideal conditions. As vehicle range can vary due to several external factors Renault also provides practical summer and winter range figures.

What affects the vehicle’s range?

The range of the vehicle is affected by 4 key factors:

  1. Driving style
  2. Route terrain
  3. Temperature/Use of heating and air conditioning
  4. Speed
How do electric vehicles charge?

It’s as simple as just plugging it in. Charging can be done anywhere - either using private infrastructure e.g. a wall box installed at your home or place of work, or a public charge spot e.g. in a car park or shopping centre.

How long does it take to charge?

Charging an electric vehicle can vary depending on the charge unit and the vehicle.

Where can I charge an electric vehicle?

At home/office – ZOE and Kangoo Z.E. can be plugged into a Wall Box delivering either 7kW or 22kW. Renault recommends the installation of a Z.E. Ready certified wall box for your private charging needs. In Europe, electric vehicle drivers rely almost entirely on their privately installed Wall Box. In public – there is a growing network of compatible and publicly accessible charging points for electric vehicle drivers.

What charging solutions are available?

Renault insists that its charging partners are Z.E. Ready certified, to ensure that both wall box and installation are compatible with the Renault electric vehicle that you choose. What sort of battery is used?

The Renault Z.E. vehicles use lithium-ion batteries, offering great performance. It is very simple to charge, even when it is fully discharged. It can also be recycled at the end of its life

How much does it cost to run?

Every kilometre you cover is cheaper in a Z.E. than in a combustion engine vehicle. The savings you achieve depend on your electricity rate, but fully charging Kangoo Z.E. could cost from as little as $3, while ZOE can achieve a full charge from $8. Maintenance: With no moving parts in the engine, vehicle maintenance is also substantially less than an equivalent petrol or diesel powered vehicle.

Does payload affect the range of the vehicles?

Payload has a nominal effect on the vehicle’s range. The driver’s driving style will have a much greater impact on the range of the vehicle.
