Renault Duster details announced, Australian showroom arrivals commence this month
Order books for new Renault Duster have officially opened in Australia and the first shipment of vehicles is due in showrooms this month.
Prices and specifications across the range have been confirmed and customers are now able to place an order via the Renault Australia website or their nearest Renault showroom.
New Renault Duster - the award-winning, high-riding small SUV defined by its rugged good looks, practicality, and off-road capability - will be available in two model grades with a choice of two fuel-efficient turbo petrol engines.
The 4x2 auto will be powered by a turbocharged 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine, and the 4x4 manual will be powered by a turbocharged 1.2-litre mild hybrid three-cylinder engine.
As part of a special launch promotion for a limited time, the price of new Renault Duster will start from $34,990 drive-away for the Evolution efficient dual-clutch (EDC) automatic 4x2 variant, for a limited time.
Unlike most rivals in its class, new Renault Duster has tall suspension and generous off-road clearance angles.
New Renault Duster will also be available with a range of genuine and locally-sourced accessories to appeal to buyers with a sense of adventure.
Inside, new Renault Duster is available with a range of 'YouClip' accessory attachment points, so buyers can personalise their vehicles with options such as a phone holder, detachable torch, bag hook, or an extra cup holder.
The inside panel on the tailgate also has a 'YouClip' attachment point to affix a portable cube-shaped torch that becomes an overhead light when the hatch is open, which can be handy when loading the shopping or unpacking camping gear.
"Unlike most vehicles in this segment, new Renault Duster really does blend the best of both worlds, with a genuine ability to bridge the gap between the urban jungle and the great outdoors," said Glen Sealey, General Manager of Renault Australia.
"Its compact dimensions make it easy to park in tight spots in the city and suburbs, and its tall ground clearance and intelligent traction control system make it easy to manoeuvre in a range of off-road conditions".
New Renault Duster is designed to appeal to SUV buyers who occasionally want to venture beyond the city limits.
"That's why we are working with Renault HQ and local accessory specialists to offer a wide range of options, so customers can get the most out of new Renault Duster", said Mr Sealey.
"Customer demand for adventure vehicles in Australia remains strong, and Renault Duster reflects this lifestyle."
"It is ideal for urban use, yet has the ability to unlock a weekend escape."
"Whether customers choose the 4x2 or 4x4 version, the other advantage of Renault Duster's tall suspension is the comfort it delivers over bumps and thumps on suburban roads."
The first shipment of new Renault Duster will initially arrive in limited numbers.
"Demand for this vehicle in Europe is very strong, so Australia will receive an initial allocation before shipments ramp up next year," said Mr Sealey.
"We ordered as many cars as we could this year, and we are now working closely with the factory to improve our allocation moving forward."
